How to find your feeds on iPhone

Your app is still empty? The guided setup suggests feeds for your languages and topics. Later, the plus in a channel adds more – by web address, YouTube handle or search term. And if you’re coming from another app, an OPML file brings your subscriptions along. The video shows you all three ways.

When you first open channelBar Feeds, the app is empty. Three ways lead to your feeds: the guided setup, the search behind the plus, and importing an OPML file.

The guided setup

Pick your languages, the kinds of content – news, podcasts, videos – and your topics, as many as you like. Next, you see every suggestion and tap away anything you don’t care about. channelBar creates one channel each for news, podcasts and videos. For YouTube, it asks whether you want Shorts, and once for your permission. Then it loads all your feeds.

More feeds with the plus

Open a channel and tap the plus at the bottom. In the “Search term or URL” field, type the address of a website – channelBar finds the feed by itself. For YouTube, the channel’s handle with the @ in front is all you need. Or search for a word: podcasts come from Apple Podcasts, news and videos from our catalog. Filter by type at the top.

Tap a result, check the preview and tap “Add Feed”. If a feed is protected, channelBar asks for your username and password.

Start over or move in

In Configuration, “Add starter feeds…” starts the guided setup again at any time. And if you’re coming from another app, “Import OPML…” brings your subscriptions over.
